New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, reportedly have purchased a new house in Greenwich, CT, with speculation swirling around a seven-bedroom, nearly 15,000-square-foot estate. The home, built in 1990, is rumored to have been owned by actor Ron Howard of “Happy Days.” Pictures shown here are of the house Ron Howard sold in Greenwich, CT, but we cannot yet confirm this is Brady’s new home.

Homes of the Rich reported the couple is purchasing a stone mansion built in 1990 that sits on 10 acres of land. The website did not mention a sale price, but CNBC and other news outlets reported the price was $9 million.

The description of the property sounds similar to an active listing at 19 Lower Cross Road. But Ashley Murphy, a spokeswoman for listing agent Compass Connecticut LLC, said Monday that Brady and Bündchen are not purchasing the estate. The Lower Cross Road property has been under contract since May.

“It’s hard to respond to everything,” Brady said, according to NBC Sports Boston. “The reality is, I choose to respond to almost nothing. … I just don’t get into the fray.”

The couple caused a stir this summer when they were reportedly house hunting in either Alpine, N.J., or Greenwich, CT.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the Greenwich estate is larger than the couple’s 9,700-square-foot, 5-acre home in Brookline, MA. That home was listed for sale in August and is currently priced at $33.6 million, according to their realtor.
